Keep the Moment photo club

Keep the Moment has a photography club with meetings, lectures, exhibitions and outings. There is a monthly meet-up.

Urban Street Diving, in Co-operation with RAW Street Photo Gallery Rotterdam, are hosting a free photography contest focused on Street Photography series. To enter the competition, your photo series has to be captured in 2017 and exclusively shot at one single urban location, street or area. Like during a real scuba dive, where the diver has to be focused and observant to discover new things. The participation is free of charge! Entry Deadline is 30 April 2017. The best three street diving series will be exhibited at Rotterdam RAW Streetphoto Gallery in front of an international and renowned audience. More information about the contest can be found on the website.

Exhibitions Foam and Eye
Saturday 25 February 13.00 untill 17.00

Hankering for some inspiration? The wait is finally over! Spring is very near and Barbara and Tim would like to invite all ye photography lovers to join us in Amsterdam on the 25th of February for the following exhibits:

Hiroshi Sugimoto – Black Box
In the exhibition Hiroshi Sugimoto - Black Box, Foam presents an overview of the work of the Japanese artist. The exhibition offers a survey of his work through his major series. Sugimotos work is represented in international collections such as the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, the Smithsonian in Washington, and the National Gallery and Tate Modern in London.

Béla Tarr – Till the End of the World
Specially for EYE, Béla Tarr has developed an exhibition that is a cross between a film, a theatre set and an installation. Tarr draws on found images, images of war, fragments from his own films, props, and two new scenes specially filmed for the exhibition to articulate not only his sombre view of the world but also his compassion for those marginalized by society. Béla Tarr is widely regarded as one of the most influential film authors of the past 30 years. He is a master of the magnificent long take, a master of wonderfully shot, melancholic films that express the human condition.
